Folk Music Pioneer Lee Chien-fu and PTT Founder Ethan Tu Join Forces to Bring Parents’ Voices to Children’s Storytime with the Launch of ibokids AI Interactive Storytelling Platform

[Press Release]  —— A pioneering, all-in-one interactive storytelling platform combining AI voice cloning technology with licensed story content officially launches today, enabling parents to accompany their children through stories in their own voices, anytime, anywhere.

A new AI-powered parenting companion has arrived! Sound Story Culture, Taiwan AI Labs, and Yating Intelligence Corporation have joined forces to launch ibokids, an AI-powered interactive storytelling platform that combines Taiwan-developed AI voice cloning technology with licensed story content. The platform officially launched today at a press conference.

Breaking beyond the limitations of traditional audio recordings, ibokids uses highly realistic voice cloning technology to enable busy parents to create personalized voice replicas and generate new stories every day. The platform aims to meet the storytelling needs of modern families with a simple yet heartfelt vision: With AI, love is always within reach.

The launch event brought together two key figures behind the initiative: Ethan Tu, founder of Taiwan AI Labs and creator of PTT, Taiwan’s pioneering online bulletin board system, and Lee Chien-fu, founder of Sound Story Culture and a renowned pioneer of Taiwanese folk music.

Other key partners also attended, including Ricardo Davila, Vice President of Les Enphants, and Lemon Brother, a popular children’s entertainer from MOMO Kids Channel, who made a surprise appearance. Together, the partners announced plans to build a comprehensive parenting ecosystem spanning postpartum care centers, children’s e-commerce, children’s television and entertainment, and international markets—bringing ibokids’ audio stories to families in Taiwan and beyond.

Lee Chien-fu shared the inspiration behind ibokids, noting that while children love hearing stories from their parents, busy schedules and a lack of storytelling materials often make it difficult for parents to maintain this cherished routine.

As an all-in-one interactive storytelling platform, ibokids offers an extensive library of stories while leveraging advanced AI voice technology to preserve the familiarity and warmth of a parent’s voice. By allowing parents’ voices to transcend the limitations of time and distance, the platform offers a new way for families to stay connected in the AI era.

Ethan Tu subsequently demonstrated a major breakthrough in voice cloning technology developed by strategic partner Yating Intelligence. Through a product demonstration video and a live presentation, he showcased how the technology can capture a person’s unique vocal characteristics and speaking patterns from a short audio sample, generating a highly realistic voice replica in a remarkably short time.

Even when parents or family members are away, children can listen to personalized stories narrated in their parents’ cloned voices. This technology brings the experience of hearing a parent tell a story directly to a child, helping families maintain meaningful connections even when they cannot be together in person.

To make ibokids accessible to families across Taiwan and around the world, the platform has also announced an ambitious cross-industry distribution strategy.

Ricardo Davila, Vice President of Les Enphants, took the stage to introduce how the company will leverage its physical retail and online channels to bring ibokids to more families. A dedicated gift card was also unveiled at the event.

Lemon Brother from MOMO Kids Channel made a surprise appearance to announce that the platform will also feature storytelling performances and songs by the channel’s beloved hosts, further expanding the diversity of its content.

By integrating AI technology with the emotional warmth of human voices, ibokids aims to establish a presence throughout the maternal and child care ecosystem, beginning with postpartum care centers and extending into a broader network of family-oriented businesses and distribution channels.

The launch of ibokids represents not only a milestone in Taiwan’s homegrown AI capabilities, but also a meaningful application of technology that transforms AI from a purely technical innovation into a more personal and emotionally resonant form of family companionship. The platform is poised to bring new possibilities to early childhood education and the digital parenting market in Taiwan and internationally.
